Ian Paice (Ian Anderson Paice) (June 29, 1948) is one of the greatest and most influential drummers in rock history. As the only musician to appear on every Deep Purple studio album, his explosive technique, speed, and unmistakable groove have been at the heart of the band's sound for more than five decades.

From classics such as Smoke on the Water, Highway Star, Child in Time, Burn, Perfect Strangers, and countless others, Paice's powerful drumming helped define hard rock and inspired generations of musicians. His work has also included collaborations with Whitesnake, Gary Moore, Paul McCartney, and many other legendary artists.

Today, as he celebrates his 78th birthday, Ian Paice remains one of rock's most respected drummers and a true icon of classic hard rock. 🥁🎂
